Columbus Sanichu Gumball Machine

Old Antique Sanichu Columbus Gumball Peanut Candy Machine penny nickel

< < Back To Picture List

The Columbus Vending Machine Company manufactured thousands of machines from the early 1900's through the 1940's. They made a variety of machines that dispensed gumballs, peanuts, matches, breath perfume pellets, marbles, and probably other products too. This is a unique Columbus gambling gumball machine. The gumballs were wrapped in various colored tin foil and every ball had a concealed number under the foil. Certain numbers earned a payout. Thus, it was a gambling machine disguised as a gumball machine! The paint color is rare for a Columbus vendor, and the decal is large and attractive which increases the eye appeal.
