I have always liked the "clown face" machines. There are several different versions and all are difficult to find. I purchased a Columbus G in a private auction in January, 2007. To my surprise, a friend called me several months later when he was trying to buy the remaining contents of the Columbus Vending Company. When the Columbus factory closed, the buyer of the building was the new owner of what remained. There were 40-50 machines left and the majority were rare and desirable. Bill Enes had tried unsuccessfully to purchase the machines over the years, but did get the original Columbus globe molds which were used to make reproduction globes. Bill was able to photograph all of the machines for his book. My friend and I were able to negotiate a deal on the machines. When we split the machines, my first picks were the Model G and No. 5 (plus another Model G). That is how I ended up with three Columbus Model G's and the No. 5---all with original paint and in fabulous condition. I've been able to acquire a Blinkey Eye and a one of a kind Freeport Vendor with tin advertising sign since then. I'm a top buyer of these machines. Please contact me if you have something available or know where similar machines are located.
